Receiving the gold standard for women-owned business certification underscores our Global Prairie commitment to equity, inclusion, and leadership in purpose-driven business.

We are proud to announce our national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the leading third-party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women in the US.

The WBENC Certification is a meticulous process and included an in-depth review of our business and a site inspection, confirming that Global Prairie is at least 51% owned, operated, and led by women. This recognition reinforces our belief and leadership in advancing equity and opportunity in both business and the world at large.

“Since our founding in 2008, Global Prairie has been rooted in the belief that business can and should be a force for good in the world,” said Anne St. Peter, Founder of Global Prairie. “Receiving WBENC Certification is a powerful validation of our purpose and values and a platform for growing our impact. It affirms the work we’ve done—and continue to do—leading with purpose, elevating diverse voices, and creating inclusive economic opportunity.”

With WBENC Certification, Global Prairie joins an elite network of Women Owned companies that are driving growth and innovation across industries. The Certification also opens access to supplier diversity opportunities with corporations and government agencies that are committed to engaging with Women Owned businesses as partners. By including Women Owned businesses among their suppliers, corporations and government agencies demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity and the continued development of their supplier diversity programs, which in turn empower women as leaders and bring about a more diverse, balanced, and sustainable economy.

With this certification, Global Prairie adds another badge to its name—Certified B Corp, 100% employee owned, and now a Certified Women’s Business Enterprise—furthering our role as a changemaker for gender equity, business leadership, and social impact. From taking an active role in advancing women leadership, to putting at least 10% of our annual profit back into the communities we live in, to offering best-in-class benefits, Global Prairie continues to model a new standard for inclusive, responsible business and stakeholder-driven governance where all stakeholders—employees, community, planet, client—benefit.
